Heather Butt is a home economist and coauthor with Donna Washburn of The 125 Best Gluten-Free Recipes.
She and Donna formed a company called Quality Professional Services to develop recipes for bread machine manufacturers and over time for yeast companies. Their books are America's Best Bread Machine Baking Recipes and More of America's Best Bread Machine Baking Recipes, Canada's Best Bread Machine Baking Recipes and More of Canada's Best Bread Machine Baking Recipes, as well as 125 Best Quick Bread Recipes.
When the two women noticed that they were getting a number of requests from people for gluten-free recipes for the bread machine, and for other gluten-free desserts and treats, they decided to take the challenge and write a book on gluten-free recipes.
