After qualifying as a chef in 1988, Martin Bealin honed his skills in kitchens worldwide before returning to Ireland to open the now famous Global Village Restaurant in Dingle, Co. Kerry in 1997. The restaurant, which he runs with his wife Nuala, has won numerous awards and is now in the top 5 Seafood Restaurants on the island. Bealin is passionate about using the finest produce on his doorstep. Fish and shellfish from the surrounding seas are a speciality, as is Kerry mountain lamb. He grows his fruits and vegetables for the restaurant. Martin was the 2012 winner of Best Restaurant and Best Chef in Munster.
