Ingredients
- 1 package sourdough starter
- 1½ cups cake flour
- ¾ cup warm milk
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1½ teaspoons sugar
- 1 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 eggs, separated
Instructions

In a bowl, combine the sourdough starter with the flour and warm milk. Cover tightly and set aside at room temperature for 12 hours. Store the starter in the refrigerator until ready to use. Add the salt, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Blend in the egg yolks. In a bowl, beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks. Fold the whites into the batter. Ladle the waffle batter onto a hot waffle iron and cook until golden.
