Ingredients

  • 6 cloves garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg yolks, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon strained fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup mild olive oil

Instructions

  1. Place the garlic, salt, egg yolks, and lemon juice in a blender. Blend on high speed until mixture is smooth, then slowly add the oil in a very thin stream until it is absorbed and forms an emulsion. Adjust salt to taste. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

Wow! I made this garlic sauce, then cubed some skinless, boneless chicken breast and put it in a slow cooker with the sauce. After the chicken was cooked, I added broccoli, carrots and onion. While that was cooking, I made long-grain rice, then added it. The garlic sauce broke down and seperated a little bit, but the other ingredients absorbed it. It was delicious! Even the kids liked it!
