Baked Bacon Bread Sticks

One weekend I was testing this recipe, and before I knew it, I had eaten almost the entire batch. They are that good and impossible to resist. Serve right out of the oven.

Notes

If you’ll be serving only grownups, try substituting ¼ cup bourbon for the Worcestershire.



Try not to use bacon that is too lean, or it won’t adhere to the sticks.

Ingredients

  • 18 crisp breadsticks
  • 18 strips thinly sliced bacon
  • ½ cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F.

  2. 2, Wrap each bread stick with a bacon strip. Sprinkle with brown sugar and a few drops of Worcestershire.

  3. 3, Place the bread sticks on a wire rack set over a baking sheet and bake until browned and crispy, 10 to 15 minutes.
