If your next date night will be more of the "stay in and watch TV" variety, make it a bit more special with this easy Cannoli Dip recipe. The dip only has six ingredients and is served with pieces of a waffle cone for a taste that's truly sweet. This Cannoli Dip is also a no-bake dessert recipe that can be whipped up — no pun intended — within a few minutes. This no-fuss dessert dip will also be the perfect recipe to bring to your next potluck party.

When I think of the great city of Philadelphia, my mind jumps to Reading Terminal Market. You can’t go wrong with any type of sandwich in that building. You are also required to leave the building with a cannoli in hand. Ahhhh, the cannoli stop—where the bags of sweet ricotta filling are packed tight and hung from the ceiling for easy filling. The crisp cannoli shells somehow manage to be easy to bite through, yet don’t shatter completely. It’s magic. And it’s also magic how much this dip will cure your Philly cannoli craving in a fraction of the time!

  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • Mini chocolate chips, for serving
  • 3 to 4 large waffle cones, broken into pieces


  1. In a food processor, combine the ricotta, powdered sugar, cream, vanilla, and almond extract. Purée until light and fluffy, about 15 seconds.

  2. Scrape the mixture into a serving bowl and top with extra powdered sugar and mini chocolate chips. Serve with waffle cone chips.
