Lucy Malouf is a writer and editor. She contributes regularly to major Australian newspapers, food magazines and websites. She is also a restaurant reviewer and feature writer for the leading Melbourne food guides.
Her biggest life change took place in 1998, when she traded in her job with a Wall Street firm to pursue her passion for food by marrying a chef and becoming a waitress. Although neither of these moves proved successful, they were the starting point for her career as a food and travel writer.
Lucy and her former husband master chef Greg Malouf, have co-authored a variety of cookbooks which include Saraban, Turquoise, Saha, The Season’s Plate Cookbook, Moorish, and Arabesque. The Malouf’s award-winning books have been translated into several languages and are now published around the world.
She currently resides in Melbourne, Australia, with her second husband, two dogs and a cat. Often serving as a guest speaker at food and writers’ festivals in Australia and abroad.
