Before she discovered the Raw Food Movement, Kristen admits to eating an unhealthful diet. She says she used to exist on caffeine and pills as well as a diet loaded with protein-rich meats and other foods. Always tired and never feeling too well, she investigated a vegan diet, which soon she turned into a raw vegan diet. Today she says she feels far better than she ever has.
A raw diet, Kristen explains, consists of fruits, vegetables, sprouts, seeds, and nuts prepared in novel ways, often as much more healthful versions of familiar cooked dishes. It includes everything from pizza, to burritos, burgers, lasagna, and ice cream. She also says that with a raw diet, you lose weight and never grain it back again.
