Debbie Gore
Did you know?
Debbie compares life decisions to food choices. “Would you order something off a menu that was made of ingredients that don’t taste good to you? Why would you repeat bad decisions that are painful or rob you of the precious commodity of time?” she asks.
Debbie Gore is cookbook author, motivational speaker and culinary instructor.
Her books include Good Friends Great Tastes and, more recently, Recipe for Life. In the latter book, she looks at recipes as analogies for life. Her goal is to inspire others to make choices that lead to a healthful work-life balance that is productive, centered and energized.
Among her television credits are CNBC’s Fast Money; QVC Shopping Channel; NBC 5 in Fort Worth and Kansas City; Good Morning Texas; and Rachel Ray. She has been written up in The Dallas Morning News; Grapevine Today; Elegant Lifestyles; Start Healthy; Chicken Soup for the Soul magazine; The Gourmet Retailer; and Specialty Food, to name a few publications.
Debbie’s previous career included time as a fashion buyer for Dillard’s Department Stores, A Pea in the Pod and a position with Viacom Entertainment. She also worked in a gourmet store, which is when she began to write her first book, Good Friends Great Tastes.
It was after this experience that she decided to devote her working life to food and went on to manage culinary schools. She then became the director of Culinary Services for Turbochef Technologies, a high-tech oven company.
Debbie lives in Texas and her website is www.recipeforlife.biz
