Carmel studied cooking in Paris with the renowned chef and restaurateur Gabriel Gros.

Carmel Berman Reingold has written more than 25 books, nine of which are cookbooks. Her other areas of expertise are diet and health, and she is the author of the popular The Lifelong Anti-Cancer Diet, which was translated into Japanese and Portuguese. She also wrote The 7 Most Effective Ways to Jump-Start Your Diet.

 

Carmel collaborated with David Burke on Cooking with David Burke, a cookbook that Publisher’s Weekly called “an accomplished book.”

 

She is a former contributing editor at Woman magazine. She has written for Brides and Cosmopolitan magazines, as well as other publications.

 

Carmel lives in New York City and Southampton, Long Island, NY.
