Recipe

Yield: Makes about 1¼ cups

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • ½ medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • Kosher salt

Directions

Peel and pit the avocados, and place them in a medium bowl. Add the onion, chipotle pepper, lime juice, and cilantro, and mash together with a fork until combined but still chunky. Season to taste with salt.
