Can be made ahead of time.
In this method the garlic is peeled and the individual cloves are roasted. The cloves can then be sliced and tossed with your favorite pasta dish or sprinkled over cooked fish or vegetables.
The garlic can be roasted in a small pan in a toaster oven. For garlic lovers, roasting is a must it makes the garlic sweeter, more buttery, and tastier.
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. Putting them in a small roasting pan, arrange the cloves in a single layer and spoon the Chili and Garlic Oil over. Roast, stirring occasionally, until the cloves are lightly browned, 15 to 20 minutes. Watch the garlic as it browns-when it becomes too brown, it takes on a bitter taste.
3. Cool the garlic and transfer it to a container and refrigerate, covered, until needed.
To Prepare Ahead: Roasted garlic will keep 2 to 3 weeks, refrigerated, in a covered container.
Nutritional information is based on 6 servings, using 5 oz of garlic, but does not include Chile and Garlic Oil. For nutritional information on Chile and Garlic Oil, please follow the link above.
