Notes
This simple barbecued pork requires little time or effort. Double the amount so you have plenty to use in the following noodle recipe, or serve it with a vegetable and cooked rice as a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1½ pounds center cut pork loin, pork tenderloin, or pork steak
- ½ cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1½ tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons water
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Trim any fat or gristle from the pork with a sharp knife or a cleaver. Mix the Barbecue Sauce ingredients in a bowl. Add the pork and toss to coat. Place the pork on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until cooked through. Let cool.
Cut the pork into slices about ¾ inch thick and 1½ inches long.
